Puzzle games that fit a short commute
Not every puzzle game respects the reality of a fifteen-minute ride. The best ones let you finish a satisfying chunk and put the phone away, no half-solved board haunting you.
Look for games that save mid-puzzle and let you undo a move. Nothing is worse than one wrong tap wrecking a board you can't reset. It sounds small, but it decides whether a game stays on my phone.
We also lean toward puzzles with a difficulty ramp you can feel. Getting stuck occasionally is good; getting stuck for twenty levels straight is a design problem, not a feature.
